WordPress and WooCommerce speed

We fix slow WordPress sites and WooCommerce shops at the root, not with another plugin.

  • Plugin and theme audit, removing what you do not need
  • Caching, compression and browser caching set up correctly for your host
  • Image optimisation and next-generation formats
  • Database clean-up and PHP version upgrade where safe
  • Core Web Vitals fixes and a before and after report

Why WordPress gets slow

Twenty plugins, each loading its own CSS and JavaScript on every page. A page builder that outputs ten times the code a page needs. Full-size photos straight from a camera. No caching, or three caching plugins fighting each other. An old PHP version. A database full of revisions and transients from plugins removed years ago.

None of this is fixed by installing one more plugin. It is fixed by removing things and configuring what stays properly.

What we do

We measure first with PageSpeed Insights and a waterfall of everything the page loads. Then we work through the causes in order of impact: unused plugins out, page builder assets limited to the pages that need them, images compressed and served in modern formats, server and browser caching configured for your host, database cleaned, PHP upgraded, and the remaining scripts deferred so the page paints quickly.

WooCommerce shops get extra attention on cart fragments, checkout scripts and product image sizes, which are the usual culprits.

Honest advice

Sometimes the right answer is not to tune a heavy site but to rebuild it light. We built this website that way, and we tell you when that is the better value.

Questions people ask

Is my site safe during the work?

We take a full backup first and work on a staging copy where your host provides one. Nothing changes on the live site until you approve it.

Do you work with Elementor, Divi and WPBakery?

Yes. Page builders are the most common cause of slow WordPress sites. We can make them much faster, and we tell you honestly when a rebuild without the builder would be the better buy.

Which hosts do you know?

Hostinger, SiteGround, Cloudways, WP Engine, Kinsta and standard cPanel hosting. If your host is the problem, we say so.

Do I need a paid caching plugin?

Not usually. Most hosts include server caching, and a free plugin covers the rest. We only recommend paid tools when they are clearly worth it.
